A drone night light show is a visually stunning spectacle where a fleet of drones equipped with LED lights orchestrates captivating displays in the night sky. These drones are programmed to fly in synchronized patterns and formations, tracing intricate trajectories while illuminating the darkness with vibrant lights.
I was responsible for developing a Geometry Nodes system to control key parameters of drone shows, including the distance between drones, their velocities and accelerations, and the transitions between formations. I also created presets for color effects, allowing for artistic colorization of a large number of drones at once. Additionally, I was involved in the integration of the Geometry Nodes preset with the Python API, enabling artists to create stunning shows without needing an in-depth understanding of GeoNodes or the underlying programming structure.
